Teresa Fiorica’s Workshop Facilitator Bio
Hi! I’m Teresa Fiorica, a Licensed Social Worker.
I have spent almost 20 years working with individuals and couples. Communication skills are one of the biggest areas of contention in a relationship. I have helped couples strengthen communication, rebuild their emotional connection, and navigate major life transitions.
I created this group because I’ve seen how couples can grow apart over the years. As the children get older and move out of the house, the empty-nest years can quietly challenge even the strongest relationships. Many couples who spent years focused on parenting suddenly find themselves at a loss and wondering how to reconnect as partners again.
I am passionate about the work I do with people. My approach is warm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based relationship tools, including Gottman relationship research and Nonviolent Communication (NVC). This group is not about blame or perfection—it’s about helping couples feel more understood, heard, supported, and connected in this next stage of life.
If you and your partner want a stronger foundation for the years ahead, you don’t have to figure it out alone. There is hope. Join me and find out how good the future with your partner can be.
Teresa
This group is designed for couples experiencing mild to moderate disconnection, communication challenges, or difficulty navigating the transition into the empty-nest years.
If you’re feeling more like roommates than partners, struggling to communicate effectively, or simply wanting to reconnect before problems grow larger, this group may be a great fit.
Because this is a support and education group (not therapy), couples experiencing significant distress, active crisis, ongoing betrayal, or considering separation may benefit more from individual couples counseling first. If you're unsure, I’m happy to help you determine whether this group is the right next step.
That’s actually very common.
In many relationships, one partner is often more motivated to seek support than the other—and that’s okay. Hesitant partners are absolutely welcome here.
This group is designed to feel practical, supportive, and non-judgmental. You won’t be put on the spot or expected to share deeply personal details in front of others. Instead, you’ll learn communication tools, hear from other couples navigating similar life transitions, and practice small shifts that can make a meaningful difference over time.
Often, the partner who was hesitant at first becomes relieved they came.
No. This is not couples therapy.
The Relationship Reset Group is a support and educational group led by a licensed clinician experienced in working with couples. Think of it as guided relationship support: you’ll learn practical communication strategies, reflect together as a couple, and gain tools to strengthen connection in a structured, supportive environment.
If deeper therapeutic work is needed, I may recommend additional one-on-one counseling resources.
Most couples in this stage of life are balancing work, family, caregiving, and many responsibilities—which is exactly why intentional relationship time matters.
The group meets one evening per week for 90 minutes, and the goal is not perfection. Small, consistent shifts in how you communicate and connect can create meaningful change over time.
Think of this as an investment in the relationship that will shape your next chapter together.
The investment for the 8-Week Couples Connection Support Group is $499 per couple.
